Trunk Outgoing Pause DigitFunctional description
This function delays transmission of dialed digit for a certain period of time when sending it through a trunk. Application methods are different for the non-ISDN trunk and ISDN trunk. Generally, it is frequently used for system service that transmits many digits at a time without direct dialing from the subscriber. Usage example includes beep paging and banking service.
- Non ISDN trunk
It is limited only to the trunk with the DTMF dialing method. When the selected pause digit is dialed on the concerned route, each pause digit will delay transmission of the next digit for an assigned period of time.
- ISDN trunk
If the dialed digit contains the pause digit that is assigned to the concerned digit, the digit after the pause digit will not be transmitted in time of call setting but transmitted after changing the last digit into a DTMF when the call is made by the answer of the counterpart.
