System Hold

Functional description

The System Hold function holds the busy extension/extension subscriber in the system. The counterpart will wait while listening to a hold sound. When the intended subscriber in the system is available, conversation can be resumed.

Operating procedure

  • The caller is talking over the phone with the extension/extension subscriber.
  • Press the “HOLD/SAVE” Button if the [2.6 System Feature Option-Hold Preference] item is set to “SYS-HOLD”. Or, if it is set to “EXC-HOLD”, press the “HOLD/SAVE” Button twice.
  • When the System Hold function is successfully carried out, all mobile buttons will blink which contains the suspended subscribers in the mobile button.
  • The multiple function subscriber who wants to continue a call with the suspended subscriber will press the blinking mobile button.

    Service conditions

    • This function cannot be used in the general telephone.
    • The hot line subscriber cannot use this function.
    • Only the busy extension subscriber or extension subscriber can be put on the System Hold.
    • The counterpart subscriber can be put on the System Hold only when the subscriber is registered in his/her own telephone or the mobile button of the connected DSS.
    • When the counterpart is going to be put on the System Hold, he/she must be registered on the mobile button. If not, only the Individual Hold can be carried out.
    • The counterpart subscriber can be put on the System Hold using the “HOLD” button when the hold type (EXC-HOLD/SYS-HOLD) is set to “SYS-HOLD” in the [2.6 System Feature Option-Hold Preference].
    • The counterpart subscriber can be put on the System Hold pressing the “HOLD” button twice when the hold type (EXC-HOLD/SYS-HOLD) is set to “EXC-HOLD” in the [2.6 System Feature Option-Hold Preference].

    Interaction

    • If the subscriber is not registered in his/her own telephone or the mobile button of the connected DSS, the suspended subscriber will be put on the Pool/Loop button. In this case, only the Individual Hold, not the System Hold, can be carried out.
    • Individual Hold/System Hold cannot be used but the Individual Call Park/System Call Park can be used.
    • If the certain subscriber is put on the hold and released without an answer, the call will be made from the suspended subscriber.
