Outgoing Trunk Queuing

Functional description

If a extension subscriber presses the extension calling code but all trunks are busy, the function allows the extension subscriber to be automatically connected to the first trunk, which becomes available by reserving a trunk call in advance.

Operating procedure

  • A extension subscriber enters the extension calling code, but all are busy at the moment.
  • The extension subscriber presses the Hook Flash button while hearing the busy tone and enters the outgoing trunk queuing code (Default:4).
  • The service set tone is sent to the extension subscriber.
  • The extension subscriber waits, hooking on the handset.

    5 One of the trunks becomes available.

    6 The calling signal is sent to the extension subscriber.

    7 The extension subscriber answers the calling signal.

    8 The extension subscriber is automatically connected to the trunk.

    9 The subscriber dials an external subscriber’s number.

    10 The extension subscriber and the external subscriber hear the calling tone and the calling signal, respectively.

    11 The external subscriber answers the calling signal.

  • A extension subscriber enters the extension calling code, but all are busy at the moment.
  • The extension subscriber presses the outgoing trunk queuing button or the Hook Flash button while hearing the busy tone and enters the outgoing trunk queuing code (Default:4).
  • The extension subscriber hears the service set tone and the following message is displayed on the LCD screen of D-Tel.

    5 One of the trunks becomes available.

    6 The calling signal is sent to the extension subscriber.

    7 The extension subscriber answers the calling signal.

    9 The subscriber dials an external subscriber’s number.

    10 The extension subscriber and the external subscriber hear the calling tone and the calling signal, respectively.

    11 The external subscriber answers the calling signal.

  • A extension subscriber who reserved an extension call hooks off the handset.
  • The subscriber dials the outgoing trunk queuing cancellation code (Default:*55).
  • The subscriber hears the service set tone which indicates that the outgoing trunk queuing is canceled.

  • A extension subscriber who reserved a station call hooks off the handset.
  • The subscriber dials the “outgoing trunk queuing” button or the outgoing trunk queuing cancellation code (Default:*55).
  • The subscriber hears the service set tone which indicates that the outgoing trunk queuing is canceled.

    Service conditions

    • The system can register the station/extension trunk queuing simultaneously up to 100.
    • If the step call is used in the system, this function cannot be used.

    Interactions

    • If the extension subscriber does not answer the calling signal in a certain period of time despite that one of the stations is available after the outgoing trunk reservation is registered, the outgoing trunk queuing is automatically cancelled.

    A extension subscriber is not allowed to reserve more than two trunk calls. Nevertheless, if a subscriber reserves more than two trunk calls, the previously reserved calls are all cancelled and only the last call is valid.
