Group Hunting

Functional description

Group hunting is used to transfer a call to another subscriber belonging to the same hunting group when a subscriber is busy who will receive the transferred call from the extension or the operation. Or, when the operator tries to make a extension call but the specific extension subscriber is busy, the group hunting function can be used to call another subscriber belonging to the same group with the concerned subscriber.

Operating procedure

  • Makes a call to the extension subscriber.
  • The caller will hear busy tone since the receiving subscriber is busy.
  • Press the group hunting code (Default:2).
  • Sends a ring to the idle subscriber after finding a subscriber belonging to the same hunting group with the busy counterpart subscriber.

    5 When the intended subscriber answers, a telephone call is completed.

  • The operator dials the phone number of the extension subscriber to whom he/she tries to transfer a call when the intended subscriber is busy.
  • The status of the extension subscriber will be displayed on the LCD screen of the attendant.
  • If the intended extension subscriber is busy, the operator presses the “GRP CALL” (Group Call) key.
  • A ring will be sent to the available extension subscriber among subscriber belonging to the same hunting group with the transferring subscriber. At this time, the original subscriber will hear a dialing tone. The LCD screen of the attendant will be cleared and the attendant will be released.

    5 The operator dials a telephone number of the extension subscriber who wants to make a call in an idle state.

    6 If the target extension subscriber is busy, the operator will hear busy tone.

    7 While hearing the busy tone, the operator presses the “GRP CALL” (Group Call) key.

    8 As the dialing signal is sent to the available extension subscriber among subscriber belonging to the same hunting group with the intended subscriber, the operator will hear dialing sound.

    Service conditions

    • When the step call function is used, this function cannot be used.
    • There must be an idle subscriber within the same hunting group.
    • If all extension subscribers of the hunting group to which the busy extension subscriber belongs or the hunting group of the extension subscriber is not assigned when the operator presses the “GRP CALL” (Group Call) key, hunting call function will not be performed but the call between the operator and the caller will be continued.
    • If the operator presses the “GRP CALL” (Group Call) key when the call of the busy extension subscriber is terminated, the hunting call function will not be carried out but the call will be directly transferred.

    Interaction

    • If the intended subscriber is busy, the subscriber can use the specific function by pressing the certain digit while hearing the busy tone. Functions for each digit(Default Value) are as follows.
  • “2“: Group Hunting function
  • “3”: Busy Override function
  • “4”: Call Back function
  • “5”: Call Waiting function
