Exclusive Hold

Functional description

This function holds extension/office line subscriber when the line is busy. The counterpart subscriber will wait while hearing a hold sound and only the held subscriber can make a call with the suspended subscriber.

Operating procedure

  • The subscriber is on the line with the extension subscriber of extension subscriber.
  • If the [2.6 System Feature Option-Hold Preference] item is set to “EXC-HOLD”, press the “HOLD BTN”. Or, if it is set to “SYS-HOLD”, press the “HOLD BTN” twice.
  • If the exclusive hold is completed normally, one of the held flexible button on the D-Tel telephone will blink.
  • If the held D-Tel subscriber requires to resume a call with the suspended subscriber, press the flexible button.

    Service conditions

    • This function is not available at the general telephone.

    • The hot line subscriber cannot use this function.

    • The extension or office subscriber one the line can be put on the exclusive hold.

    • The counterpart subscriber can be put on the exclusive hold only when he/she is already registered on the flexible button on the caller’s telephone or connected DSS, or the caller can assign the intended subscriber to hold on the Pool/Loop button if the subscriber to hold is not registered on the caller’s telephone or connected DSS.

    • The counterpart subscriber can be put on the exclusive hold only when the counterpart subscriber is registered on the flexible button of the caller’s telephone, or he/she can be registered on the Pool/Loop button.

    • If the "EXC-HOLD/SYS-HOLD” item is set to “EXC-HOLD” in the [2.6 System Feature Option-Hold Preference], the counterpart subscriber can be put on the exclusive hold using the “HOLD BTN”.

    • If the "EXC-HOLD/SYS-HOLD” item is set toe “SYS-HOLD” in the [2.6 System Feature Option-Hold Preference], the counterpart subscriber can be put on the exclusive hold by pressing the “HOLD BTN” twice.

    Interaction

    • General telephone cannot use exclusive hold/system hold, but use exclusive call park /system call park.

    • If the certain subscriber is put on the hold and released without an answer, the call will be made from the suspended subscriber.
