DDI Incoming Digit Remove & ConvertFunctional description
The digit information of the DDI trunk calls coming from the originating station is subject to the numbering plan of the station. Especially, when different stations are connected to each route, incoming numbers can not be composed of consistent digits in length. Under the circumstances, the system numbering plan is established in a restricted manner or impossible. Incoming digit remove & convert support the flexible system numbering plan, overcoming the disadvantages. Users may operate one of the two solutions or both of them at the same time, considering the characteristics of the installation areas.
- Incoming digit remove
The function is used to remove some digits or inconsistent digits from the incoming digits in the following two ways.
To remove digits exceeding the fixed length unconditionally Remove the digits that exceed the fixed length from the DDI incoming digits unconditionally and analyze the incoming digits.
Example) The extension number plan is “5XXX” and the incoming digits are “02-818-5XXX”, set the length of the digits to remove as “5”.
To remove matched digits from the incoming digits that coincide with the planned digits Remove matched digits from the DDI incoming digits that contain the planned digits and analyze the incoming digits.
Example) The extension number plan is “5XXX” and the incoming digits are “02-818-5XXX”, “818-5XXX” or “5XXX”, set the digits to remove as “02-818” or “818”.
- Incoming digit convert
The function is used to delete/change/add up to 6 digits from/to the incoming digits.
Example) Deletion : 12345 -> 123
Addition : 123 -> 12345
Change : 12345 -> 12367
Operating procedure
Service conditions
DDI incoming digit remove & convert can be operated per each trunk route. In the second method of DDI incoming digit remove, the digits that are shorter than the planned digits and partially coincide with other extension numbers are not available. Example) When “82-02-818” are designated as digits to be removed and the extension number “8202” exists
In the DDI incoming digit convert, the digits that are shorter than the planned digits and partially coincide with other extension numbers are not available. Example) When 12345 should be changed to 12367 and the extension number “1234” exists
