Automatic RecallFunctional description
If there is no answer to a hold call or a call transferred to another subscriber for predefined time, the call is automatically sent to the subscriber again by this function.
Operating procedure
- Hold call recall
- An extension subscriber A holds another internal or trunk subscriber B on the other end of the line during a call. In this case, the held subscriber B hears MOH and the extension subscriber A hears the first dialing tone.
- The extension subscriber A attempts a call to set up. (This step may be left out.)
- On hooking on the handset, the extension subscriber A becomes idle.
- The extension subscriber A does not answer the hold call in the designated period of time although the subscriber is idle.
- The extension subscriber A and the held subscriber B hear the recall ring and the ring back tone, respectively.
- The Extension subscriber A hooks off the handset.
- The hold call between the two subscribers is resumed.
- Transferred call recall
- An extension subscriber A who is talking to another extension or trunk subscriber B on the other end of the line attempts a call transfer to another extension or trunk subscriber C.
- The extension subscriber C does not answer in the designated period of time. When wrong extension number is dialed.
- If the extension subscriber A is idle, the subscriber A and B hear the ring and the ring back tone, respectively.
Service conditions
- For hold recall, if the extension subscriber A does not answer in the designated period of time because the subscriber’s line is busy, the subscriber B is held again for the designated period of time.
- For transfer recall, if the subscriber C is a trunk subscriber, the subscriber should be an ISDN subscriber capable of sending the “No Answer” message. Trunks to which the “No Answer” message is unavailable are not able to access the recall service and automatically released. If the subscriber A does not answer the call received by the recall service in the designated period of time, the call is transferred to the attendant.
- For transfer recall, if the subscriber B is a trunk subscriber, it depends on the abnormal trunk IC call process options of the subscriber B’s route whether or not to recall.
- The recall ring period and duration comply with the item ‘Recall Ring’.
