Auto HoldFunctional description
If extension incoming call or trunk incoming call is delivered to a D-Tel subscriber whose line is busy, the call is automatically held while MOH is sent to the calling subscriber and a call between the two subscribers is set up once the D-Tel subscriber answers the held subscriber.
Operating procedure
1 An incoming call from subscribers of other extension or external CO line is delivered to a D-Tel subscriber whose line is busy.

2 The signal indicating there is an incoming call is sent to the D-Tel subscriber and the LED of the hold button of flexible buttons flashes. In this case, the calling subscriber hears the calling tone.
3 The D-Tel subscriber presses the flashing flexible button as soon as the subscriber finishes with the previously received call.
4 A call between the automatically held subscriber and the D-Tel subscriber is set up. Service conditions
Data generation
- Subscribers of general telephones cannot access auto hold.
- It should be determined whether auto hold is used or not.
- The flexible buttons of the automatically held subscriber should be designated to the subscriber to be held or as the Pool/Loop button.
- If a subscriber to be held is designated by the D-Tel subscriber’s flexible buttons, the subscriber is held by the flexible buttons.
- If a subscriber to be held is not designated by the D-Tel subscriber’s flexible buttons, the subscriber is held by the Pool/Loop button.
- If there is neither flexible button nor Pool/Loop button available, the flexible button 23 for LGP terminal and the flexible button 2 for LKD terminal are used for auto hold as long as no other function is designated to the flexible buttons.
- If none of a D-Tel subscriber’s flexible buttons is designated for auto hold, subscribers calling the D-Tel subscriber hear the lock out tone.

If a called subscriber is engaged, auto group hunting is performed first followed by auto hold, auto call waiting and auto camp on according to the priority order.
- If a subscriber is held by auto hold while the holding D-Tel subscriber’s line is not busy, the held subscriber has to wait until the D-Tel subscriber answers.
- If a holding D-Tel subscriber hooks off the handset before the subscriber held by auto hold answers, the auto hold is automatically canceled and the flexible button of the held subscriber LED turns off.
