Attendant Calling
Functional description
The function allows internal subscribers to call an operator by dialing
the attendant calling code or the operator’s number as well as answer calls
from operators.
Operating procedure
Attendant calling from general telephone/D-Tel
- An internal subscriber hooks off the handset.
- The subscriber dials one of the attendant calling code, attendant
number and representative attendant number.
- Then, the internal subscribers receives the ring, and the “STA ANS”(Station
Answer) LED flashes and the bell rings if the bell is on.
- The called operator presses the “STA ANS”(Station Answer) or “ANSWER”
key.
- Then, a call between the subscriber and the operator is established.
Service conditions

In general, if the attendant calling code or representative number is used
to call, all incoming calls are assigned by auto call assignment.

If designated numbers are assigned to individual attendants and an incoming
call is forwarded to the individual number of a attendant, only the attendant
is called and auto call assignment is not performed. Such the process of
assigning numbers to individual attendants is determined in the stage of
system production and may be modified by OMS.

If a subscriber hooks off the handset while receiving the ring, the call
is canceled.

If the called attendant is in the night service, the calling signal is
forwarded to the subscriber who is designated as the night transfer subscriber.

If the called attendant is serving as the assistant operator and retains
a number of subscribers waiting to be served over a given number, incoming
calls to the attendant are forwarded to the internal subscriber designated
as the assistant operator.
